Born January 1966, "M" spent her early years in a blue-collar Chicago neighborhood as the fourth of five siblings. Growing up she was surrounded by the Irish/Celtic heritage of her mother's family, which were a huge influence on her.... "Although our christian faith was woven into the very fabric of our lives, myth and legend were bedtime stories and themes for our play. Fairies lived in dreams, under my bed and in the nearby forest (I was sure of it). M's family left the city when she was still in grade school and she finished growing up in a southern suburb of Chicago. Although she did some journaling in her teens, she didn't start writing until many years later. In the meantime, she married, had two beautiful daughters and went back to school to become a registered nurse. It wasn't until late 1998- when she wrote her first poem- that writing consumed her. - Adrienne Stringer   Las Angeles, CA M currently lives and dreams in northwest Indiana.
